The Bard Mansion, named after California Senator Thomas R. Bard, is located on Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, and is the home of the SAME Oxnard-Ventura Post. Senator Bard is considered the Father of Port Hueneme.

The new US Navy Seabee Museum opened in the Summer of 2011 and was certified as a LEED Silver facility.

The Post presented a cash award to the highest scoring entry, 9th grader Guadalupe Melgarejo, at the Science Fair Exhibits at Hueneme High School.
